Show Journal 2004-05-16
Day two of our shows with Zebrahead and Since The Flood. I was pretty stoked today because we actually got to stay in Seattle. Doesn’t sound like much but this was literally the first time in almost a year we didn’t have to drive home immediately after a show. Despite taking a rushed shower and dealing with pain in my neck and side from sleeping on a very worn couch it was much better than having to stare through burning eyes out the van windshield in the early hours of the morning. We had a big breakfast with Kevin, somehow managed to lose Sam and headed to the show in Portland. I was a little leery of the decision to have the show at the Paris but the place was pretty packed and it ended up being a good call. Since The Flood rocked hard tonight. I even bought a shirt. I think we played well. Rumor has it Justin totally fell flat on his back during the set but I totally missed it. I was too busy dealing with a bleeding finger and a runny nose, neither which anyone in the front row wants to have dripping on them. Michelle made a vocal cameo for Golden Road. Nice to see her sing and not belch for a change. Of course her cookies have earned her the right to do anything she damn well pleases. Zebrahead killed it as usual and had everyone singing and bouncing the night away. Thanks to Larry Paris, Eric @ Double Tee, Mo’Money Mo’Cephus, Chris 3, MFZB and the message board crew.
